As embodied in the 4th Tradition, the information and operation of an AA Group resides within the group conscience of its members. While hopefully every AA event adheres closely to the guiding principles of the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions, Area 78 neither monitors, endorses, or regulates in any way, the activities or practices of any AA event listed here.

WRAASA is held every second year in one of the four western Areas (78, 79, 80, and 91). The intended purpose of WRAASA is to develop greater unity among members and groups in the Areas of the Western Canada Region. WRAASA encourages the exchange of ideas, experiences, and provides an opportunity for members to discuss pertinent aspects of AA (information paraphrased from a WRAASA guidelines draft). Delegates of the Western Canada Region have an overall responsibility for implementing the WRAASA.
