Welcome to the, hopefully, improved format of the meeting directory for Area 78. Numerous complaints from members have been heard about people not knowing which district a meeting is in. To alleviate this dilemma, the meeting locales are listed after the district number. This isn’t a prefect solution to the problem but a step in a direction (good or bad time will tell).
Moreover, the meeting information can be dated in some districts. The General Service Office in New York has a list of meetings in Area 78. A list of active meetings is available. However, these are the registered meetings and a non-registered meeting will not be listed. The meetings in neglected districts will be updated but I hope everyone can appreciate the enormity of the task. This will take a few months to complete.
Finally, the accuracy of the meetings listed in each district is the direct responsibility of the District Committee Member or the meeting's General Service Representative. If something is awry with your district or meeting information, get a hold of your DCM or GSR and have them send in the information using the link to the online form below. The online meeting form has been updated with addtional data fields so the meeting listing information is more complete.
To search for meetings, on the left side, there’s a text box where you can enter the city, town, or meeting name. On the bottom of the search results will be the district number with locales listed behind it (it’s underlined and looks like a title) when clicked it will bring up the districts meeting list. Otherwise, below is a listing of districts by their district number followed by the locales with meetings for your perusal. Just click on the title to be directed to the district's meeting list. When filling out the online meeting form, please fill it out completely with accurate information. The meeting’s listing is only as good as the information provided.
